Earnings from these survey panels vary with each survey and company you register for. Some panels only offer sweepstakes entries, and you may be tempted to skip over registering for those -- don't. There are however a good many survey that only pay $1 (you don't have to do those if you don't feel its worth it), and also those that pay up to $75 or more. If you are selected to participate in a focus group, you may even be paid up to $150/hr or more.
When it comes right down to it, even the lower paying surveys are a great way to obtain some extra income. If you take four surveys for $2 each, you are still making $8 an hour at home for brainless and painless work.
